In short, The Scarlet Theater will be the world’s first cannabis-friendly movie theater.
After a long drive through Colorado, you’ll need a break to stretch your legs, and we encourage you to watch a great movie in our comfortable theater, eat a world-class meal in the theater or our restaurant, or smoke a joint in our cannabis lounge. Located in a soon-to-be-disclosed town in Gilpin County, Colorado, The Scarlet Theater will be an oasis in the mountains, offering three main features: Film, Food, and Cannabis. Partake in one, two, or all: the choice is yours.
Film: From independent new releases to the greatest cult classics to themed marathons, The Scarlet Theater will offer a wide variety of arthouse selections. Take a seat in one of our ultra-plush, ultra-comfortable theater seats, relax, and enjoy the show!
Food: Traveling and a trip to the cannabis lounge will make you extra hungry, and we can take care of that in our world-class restaurant! You’ll be able to order snacks, meals, and desserts either in the restaurant or in the theater, in addition to the standard concessions available for theater patrons.
Cannabis: Traveling to Colorado is a strange experience nowadays. You can buy cannabis at all sorts of places (including one recreational dispensary mere steps from The Scarlet Theater!), but you can only smoke it in precious few locations. The cannabis lounge adjacent to The Scarlet Theater will be the ultimate destination for the cannaisseur: for a fee, members will be able to enter our private lounge and smoke their marijuana in a variety of forms. Rolling papers will be available for purchase, as will lighters, pipes, water pipes, and vaporizers. Are you an experienced smoker who wants to toke up with like-minded individuals? Are you a first-time smoker who wants to be around others who know what it’s all about? Did you just buy from the dispensary and you want to smoke a little before heading to your hotel? Whatever the case, you are welcome at The Scarlet Theater, our cannabis lounge, and our restaurant.
